The Process
Each piece in my shop is one of a kind. I love the idea that every item is unique to the person who chooses it.
But all pieces follow the same process.
First things first

I start by creating a color palette and roughly sketching the design on my iPad.
Sketching
After glazing the piece, i lightly sketch the pattern with a pencil to guide the painting.
My favourite part
Painting the ceramic. This step takes several hours and sometimes the design changes along the way – but mostly, it‘s about enjoying the flow, adding details and watching the piece slowly come together.
Signature

Once the piece is fully painted, I sign it.
Final step

The final step begins – firing – and it‘s the one that requires the most patience. The kiln runs for about 40 hours, slowly heating up, holding peak temperature briefly, then cooling down for many hours.
Finished piece

When it finally reaches 50°C, it can be opened. That moment always feels like unwrapping a gift – full of surprise and excitement.
From clay to care – how each piece is made to last
What are the ceramics made of ?

Every piece I sell is handmade from earthenware clay.

I paint them with great care using Mayco Foundations and Mayco Stroke & Coat colors. Some are finished with a transparent glaze.

All the ceramics are food-safe, suitable for everyday use.
How to care for your piece of art

The ceramics can handle the dishwasher, but to help them last longer, I recommend washing by hand – with warm water, a soft sponge, and gentle detergent.

Please note: they are not microwave-safe, and sudden temperature changes should be avoided.

If you have several ceramic pieces, try not to stack them. Give each one its own space – it’s kinder to the glaze.
